Who is L. Neal?

L. Neal is a talented freelance writer who was born in the bitter cold lands of Wisconsin. She has a complex, wild imagination that only she can fathom. Her parents’ were bewildered with the stories she would create in her younger years. Neal started writing at the young age of six and never once stopped to worry about what anyone thought. The Author published her first book “Pink Kitten (A Hustler’s Diary)”, belonging to a sequel, on June 16, 2012.

Growing up in Wisconsin was not as it seems. Most people think of green grass, cows and of course the famous Green Bay Packers when Wisconsin is mentioned in any conversation. Neal was born in the City of Milwaukee, surviving hate crimes and drug dealings while living in subsidized housing. Education was her mother’s number one priority so she was not allowed to attend public schooling until she was 18 years old. Neal received her education at a suburban school forty-five minutes away from home. Not knowing what a great opportunity this was, Neal felt detached from the world. She started creating stories at the early age of six as a hobby. Turning in stories of crime and hate to the teacher grabbed the attention of the principal and school counselor. Neal was not abused in any way but had an imagination and way of explaining things in such great detail you would believe she experienced the tragedies personally. Keeping journals of her daily life helped survive the struggle of living in a single-parent family home.

Neal was born on October 18, 1983. Zodiac sign: Libra. Although not a true Libra, she shows traits and characteristics of both signs Libra and Scorpio which makes her very loving, comical yet serious and intimidating to those who do not know her personally. Those who do know her personally, knows she is helpful and will lend a hand to anyone in need.
Raised in a single family home is normal today in society’s eye. Neal’s mother and father separated when she was only 5 years old, that’s when the gruesome stories began. Family and friends were concerned and suggested counseling. Ignoring everyone’s comments and request, she just kept on writing until she had 24 notebooks full of material by the time she was seventeen. Neal began to write stories about her life and loved ones with an added twist of her imagination.

Pink Kitten (A Hustler’s Diary) is the first novel published by the author. This is just the beginning. The author has years of material to publish that are based on true events. If you love reading surreal novels, Neal is an author that takes your mind to another place and expresses the reality of life’s hardships.
